Our weekend in Asheville began with a visit to the amazing Biltmore House.  The snowy backdrop created a true winter wonderland setting.

With crystal clear blue sky the shadows were intriguing

I especially loved the Winter Garden full of exotic plants

One of our favorite places for a sip and a nibble is Sante’s Wine Bar www.santewinebar.com

We also enjoyed our time at Jack of the Woods www.jackofthewood.com and Chorizo a funky Latin place where I could not resist this popsicle like chandelier.

On a sad note, we had to say good-bye to our beloved Maggie of 17 years on Thursday.  She had a good cat life.

Mr. H says:  We don’t really own a pet, we rent them, and are thankful that we had a long lease-Enjoy!
