While the origins of the Easter Bunny remain fuzzy, it is generally believed that the custom of an egg laying rabbit was most likely brought to the United States by German immigrants. Deriving from the ancient tradition of rabbits being symbols of fertility and Spring obviously being the most fertile time of year.
